On November 4, 2021, the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority (AIDEA) filed a lawsuit against President Joe Biden, Secretary of the Department of the Interior Deb Haaland, and other members of the Biden Administration in response to what they have started are “unlawful actions to obstruct and delay the development of valid oil and gas leases in the non-wilderness Coastal Plain (Section 1002 Area) of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).”
AIDEA was awarded seven leases of the Coastal Plain following the lease sale held during the final days of the Trump Administration earlier this year.
AIDEA’s press release about the lawsuit is available here.
